In her most recent podcast, Amy interviews our very own Matt McFedries, CEO and Co-Founder of CreditorWatch Collect, to talk about how CreditorWatch Collect came about and why Matt believes having a human-centred approach is the key to CreditorWatch Collect’s success.
In 2007, Matt started his first business in web design. During this time, he experienced first-hand the pain of managing late payment and met dozens of other businesses struggling similarly. It was then the idea for CreditorWatch Collect was born.
“It’s wrong when you do work and somebody doesn’t then pay you, according to what you’ve agreed,” says Matt. “A promise gets made, and then a promise gets broken. Resolving that broken promise is something that really matters.”
Using a unique combination of smart technology and the human touch, CreditorWatch Collect has helped over 5,000 businesses get their invoices paid, so they can get back to what they love while creating a more successful business.
Recently, CreditorWatch Collect celebrated the tremendous feat of reaching $1.5 billion dollars of overdue invoices paid.
“The worst version of, whether you call it credit control or debt collection or debtor management, is where it’s inhuman,” adds Matt. “It’s just automation, it treats customers poorly. That’s a thing that we care deeply about and we’re trying to fix with our approach.”
